August meeting 2013: new social media

Who is actually using Google+? Is Vine the next big think for DM? Could Snapchat be used for anything apart from rude pictures sent to your mates in important meetings? Is Pinterest really just about planning the perfect summer wedding?

Social media is not just about Facebook and Twitter any more. New platforms are emerging and becoming more and more popular. Some might only be around for a matter of months, but some are here to stay. We’d really like to find out if your charity has embraced any new forms of social media or if you’re running in the opposite direction.

Your new chairs (hello!) will be bringing a few examples along to August’s meeting, but we’d love you to do the same – consider this your homework! What works, what doesn’t, what’s worth trying?

Where: Action Aid, 33-39 Bowling Green Lane, EC1R 0BJ

When: Wednesday 7 August, 4-6pm

So we have an idea of numbers, can you please join the Facebook event if you’re coming to the meeting? Thanks.

*** It’s late notice, but August’s meeting will also merge into…THE SUMMER SOCIAL! Exciting! We’ve booked an area upstairs in the Crown Tavern in Clerkenwell (although may be hovering outside if the sun is shining!). Please join us, even if you can’t make the meeting beforehand.
